Camp American Legion

Located on the shore of Big Carr Lake, this is a haven for the Wisconsin veteran who has helped his country and who could now use a little help in return. Veterans come from all over the country for rest and relaxation in handicapped accessible cabins with dining, recreation and health care facilities on site. There is free fishing and boats, no licenses required. We have work out rooms, doctors on call, physical therapist on site, pool tables, a chapel, great meals ... ALL AT NO COST TO YOU!

All you need to be is a veteran and a resident of Wisconsin whose physician certifies that you require rest and recuperation to aid in your recovery from operation, illness, breakdown or other affliction.

Camp American Legion accommodates over 300 veterans annually, let us take care of you!

Post 66 co-sponsors a cabin at Camp American Legion.  This includes funds for maintenance and insurance, labor for repairs as well as opening and closing the cabin each season.
