Rescue Squad

                                                         
Silver Cliff Rescue Squad, Inc. is a non-profit organization providing emergency medical services in the Marinette County towns of Athelstane and Silver Cliff, WI. Much of the covered 208 square miles is unpopulated forest and recreational use lands. The area boasts:  two county parks and remote camping, many miles of forestry roads, snowmobile/ATV-UTV trails, a beautiful new bike trail system, and a major kayaking/rafting river.

The dedicated squad crews are largely comprised of volunteer Emergency Medical Technician-Basics, Emergency Medical Responders, and Drivers, along with a few Advanced-EMTs who come in from out of town. The unit consists of one rescue squad and a UTV. Crews answered 110 calls last year. Medical direction is provided by Aurora Bay Care Medical Center-Marinette. The hospital provides Advanced Life Support Paramedic intercepts as needed.

Meetings are usually held the third Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Silver Cliff Town Hall located at N11929A County I.
